Robert Halpern

Robert Halpern is the principal of Halpern & Co., a private family investment office in Toronto. He is also the Chair of WonderFi, a position he has held since July 2023. Robert founded First Ledger Corp in 2018, which acquired Bitbuy and Blockchain Markets, later acquired by WonderFi in March 2022. He led all M&A efforts, including the three-way acquisition of Coinsquare and Coinsmart, and joined the board of WonderFi.

A Chartered Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, Robert articled at Ernst & Young and holds a B.Comm with the top GPA in his class. He is a serial entrepreneur and investor, having co-founded and exited multiple high-growth companies. Robert is also a dedicated mentor, advisor, and philanthropist, supporting TRSM through annual scholarships.In addition to his role at WonderFi, Robert is a partner at Bitbuy, an investor and board member for LumiQ and WellnessLiving, and an investor in Othership. His extensive experience spans a variety of industries, with a focus on strategic investments and growth initiatives.
