Daphna Smuckler

Daphna Smuckler, who graduated from TMU’s Accounting and Finance program in 1995, is the leader of BDO Canada’s Assurance and Accounting (A&A) practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team. With over 20 years of experience across North America, Europe, and Asia, she has advised clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations, specializing in IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and complex financial reporting. As A&A practice leader, Daphna drives strategic initiatives, fosters client relationships, and champions change across the firm. A former Chair of BDO Canada’s Board, she is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. She co-led the launch of BDO’s Women at BDO Initiative and is a proud member of the 30% Club, promoting gender balance in leadership.
