Winter 2026 - Present
Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours)
Zohal is a recent Biomedical Sciences (Honours) graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where she also completed a minor in Philosophy. With a strong foundation in molecular biology, physiology, and bioethics, she is interested in how biological and cognitive processes shape human behaviour, perception, and decision-making.
She is currently a Research Assistant in the Computer-Mediated Interpersonal Communication (CMIC) Lab, supporting studies on impression formation and decision-making in different communication settings. Her role involves participant-based research, dyadic study procedures, and research data organization and transcription.
Beyond CMIC, Zohal also contributes to clinical research at St. Michael’s Hospital. She is currently involved in two interventional psychiatry studies, supporting patient-oriented research through study communications and assisting with participant recruitment. In addition, she mentors with Technovation Girls under Dr. Emily Agard, where she supports young students in developing problem-solving, teamwork, and technology skills through guided project work.
