Yousef is a recent graduate from the United Arab Emirates University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Television Broadcasting and a minor in Film Studies. Throughout his studies, he developed a strong foundation in media production, communication theory, and research, gaining hands-on experience across broadcasting, digital storytelling, and audience engagement.
Yousef’s academic and professional journey has been deeply shaped by his interest in how people communicate, connect, and form impressions, especially in mediated environments. His work in media, community storytelling, and documentary production has sparked a broader curiosity about interpersonal communication, digital behaviour, and the social judgments people make about one another online. He is particularly interested in how communication channels influence trust, cooperation, and perception, as well as how marginalized communities navigate mediated interactions.
He values the opportunity to explore diverse areas within computer-mediated communication and social psychology as he continues to grow as a researcher. Looking ahead, Yousef aims to deepen his involvement in communication and behavioural research, particularly in areas related to trust-building, social prediction, and the complexities of mediated interaction.
