Bachelor of Psychology

Narmeen is a graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with distinction, along with minors in Human Resources and Business. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized for academic excellence as a recipient of the Psychology Scholars Circle award and was on the Dean’s List for both the 2021–2022 and 2023–2024 academic years.

Narmeen is passionate about human behavior and the real-world applications of psychology. Her research interests include cognitive, social, and organizational psychology, with a focus on stress, well-being, and brain function, along with clinical topics such as anxiety, OCD, and depression. More recently, she has also become interested in how artificial intelligence impacts cognition and can be integrated into psychological interventions.

Since joining the lab, Narmeen has been involved in more than three research studies, taking on roles that include leading data collection, training and supervising over 15 new team members. She also assisted with conducting literature reviews, data organization and cleanup, data entry, administrative tasks, and participant recruitment. Through her work in the lab, she has deepened her understanding of the research process and gained experience applying empirical methods to study human behaviour.

She values the opportunity to explore different areas within psychology and aims to continue developing her knowledge and skills as she grows as a researcher and prepares for graduate studies in clinical, counselling, or industrial-organizational psychology.
