Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

Barekah is a first-year Psychology student at Toronto Metropolitan University and has been recognized on the Dean’s List consecutively for her academic achievements. In addition to her position at the CMIC Lab, she currently works as a Project Assistant at the Diversity Institute (DI) and as a Research Assistant at the Early Childhood Cognition (ECC) Lab. 

Her academic interests focus on the biological mechanisms in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, the effects of chronic stress, and the relationship between information systems, technology, and human behaviour. 

In the long term, Barekah aims to pursue a career in research as well as graduate studies in clinical psychology and neuroscience.
