Graduate Assistant and Marker/Grader positions are posted on the university Careers website. You can search for positions in the Department of Sociology (Faculty of Arts) using the filter function.

Please follow the application instructions listed. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently registered as graduate students at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Continuing education teaching is administered through the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education. Teaching takes place at night during the Fall and Winter terms, and during both day and night during the Spring and Summer terms.

Postings are available for five working days. Each posting contains specific instructions concerning the qualifications required, how to submit it, and what needs to be included. Applicants should note that successful candidates will generally possess teaching experience in the specific area covered by the course(s) applied for, and also teaching experience for which the applicant has borne full academic responsibility. Teaching assistantships are not considered sufficient experience.

Job postings for contract lecturers (CUPE 1) are normally posted 3-4 months prior to the start of each term. Here are the most recent postings.

Limited-term faculty (LTF) positions are normally posted between March and June, to start in the following academic year. Check the faculty section of the Careers website for more information.

Tenure Stream Faculty

Tenure-stream faculty positions are normally posted in the Fall and Winter terms, to start in the following academic year. Check the faculty section of the Careers website for more information.
