Last season, the Bold varsity teams earned 63 home victories at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC) and Downsview Park. The varsity teams are back and ready to hit the court, ice and field, with plenty of opportunities for the TMU community to cheer them on.

“If we have crowds like this, we won’t lose at home,” said David DeAveiro, Bold men’s basketball head coach.

There’s something to celebrate all season long, from banner raisings and rivalry games to themed events and games supporting important causes.

Scroll down to see the exciting matchups and how you can support The Bold throughout the season.

Women’s and men’s soccer

The home season kicks off with the women’s and men’s soccer home openers against the Nipissing Lakers on Sept. 5 at Downsview Park.

For the women’s team, it’s a highly anticipated rematch from last year’s playoffs. TMU went undefeated in its final three home games to secure a spot in the 2025 postseason.

Meanwhile, the men’s team will look to extend its home undefeated streak from the last three seasons.

The teams will host 12 regular-season matches at Downsview Park, including The Bold Family, Friends & Alumni Day game on Sept. 19 against Trent Excalibur and the women’s Think Pink Game against the RMC Paladins on Oct. 3.

Homecoming hockey game: Sept. 17

The Bold men’s hockey team will host its annual homecoming game at the MAC against Queen’s University on Sept. 17. Students can secure an entry wristband from the Student Learning Centre (SLC).

On Nov. 14, all six indoor varsity teams will play at the MAC for Super Saturday against Trent University.  The teams will return in the new year for an Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) Day matchup against Nipissing on Jan. 16 and Intramurals Night against Windsor on Feb. 6.
