Notice of Intent shared for new Ted Rogers School of Management graduate programs
The Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) has presented its intent to propose two new graduate programs in marketing and human resources management. These Notices of Intent (NOIs) will be available online for review until January 19, 2026. While the customary review period is 30 days, the NOIs will be posted for six weeks to account for the university’s mid-year closure from Monday, December 22, 2025, to Friday, January 2, 2026.
The Master of Marketing program will aim to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable in marketing theory and practice but also possess the specialized skills required to excel in their chosen stream. The program will address a critical societal and business need by equipping students to navigate the rapidly evolving marketing landscape, where technological and methodological advancements continually challenge and reshape traditional approaches. Marketing is a large undergraduate specialization at TRSM, and this program builds on a proven foundation to meet the growing demand from students and organizations seeking expertise in modern marketing strategies. It will prepare individuals for professional and managerial careers in the field of marketing.
The Master of Human Resources Management will foster students’ critical thinking skills and practical managerial capacities. The program is designed to provide a technical foundation for career success, with course material aligned with the Human Resources Professionals Association's topics for the Certified Human Resources Leader (external link) designation. The program will prepare aspiring professionals to acquire the skills required for more specialized roles, such as human resources manager, occupational health and safety specialist, human resources professional, human resources and recruitment officer, and more.
More information on the proposed programs is available in the NOIs.
Please review the NOIs and provide feedback and comments by emailing provost@torontomu.ca before January 19, 2026.
Thank you in advance for your review and input,
