The sun shines through trees over the Kerr Hall Quad on a summer day.

The TMU community is invited to offer feedback on a proposed Master of Health Sciences in Child Sex Trafficking and Online Child Sexual Exploitation, as part of the Faculty of Community Services.

Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Faculty of Community Services has put forward a letter of intent (LOI) proposing a Master of Health Sciences in Child Sex Trafficking and Online Child Sexual Exploitation. The LOI will be available online for review until July 21, 2024, to allow for the customary review period of 30 days.

The program will be the first and only degree program in Canada that focuses on child sex trafficking and online child sexual exploitation. It will bring together legal and law enforcement, technology and cyber security, clinical practice and trauma intervention, policy and institutional leadership, and research and the engagement around the lived experience of those who have been trafficked or sexually exploited online.

The program will be housed in the Faculty of Community Services as an interprofessional and transdisciplinary graduate degree program.  The students will benefit from interdisciplinary learning and teaching approaches, and active engagement and collaboration with diverse communities and professional organizations.

Thank you in advance for your review and input.
