Search committee for vice-provost, faculty affairs to be established
The vice-provost, faculty affairs sets the strategic direction for faculty and instructor appointments, compensation, promotion, and retention.
I am writing to announce that work is underway to establish a search committee for the next vice-provost, faculty affairs. This role reports to the provost and has the important responsibility of setting the strategic direction for the recruitment, appointments, compensation, professional development and retention for faculty, librarians, professional counsellors and contract lecturers.
The formation of the search committee and the subsequent search will adhere to Toronto Metropolitan University’s Appointment of Academic Administrators policy and procedures and will reflect the university’s commitment to ensuring the values of equity, diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and access.
Information regarding dates and links to nomination forms will be emailed directly by the Senate Office to members of the respective academic units who are eligible to nominate and vote for members to this committee.
I look forward to sharing the composition of this committee with the community in the coming weeks.
