Introducing Ryerson’s new provost and vice-president, academic

In the following video, meet Ryerson University's next Provost and Vice-President Academic, Jennifer S. Simpson, who will join the university on July 1, 2021.

An experienced researcher, professor and academic leader, the new provost is a collaborative, reflective leader invested in the role of universities in public life.  

Simpson brings more than 20 years in academia and expertise in higher education, race and equity, critical theory and pedagogy and communication to the Ryerson community. Simpson says she's looking forward to exploring how research, creative work, teaching, and community engagement might be rooted in real-world questions of equity, the public good, and social concerns.
