Love, Loss, and Longing: A Night of Palestinian Theatre on Turtle Island
Join us for the third event of Voices of Solidarity: Palestinian Stories, Music and Scholarship on Turtle Island, a four-part Free School series hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University's Office of Social Innovation.
This evening features play readings by four Palestinian theatre makers living and working in Tsi Tkarón:to: Nassim J. Abu Sarari, Ameer Idreis, Rimah Jabr, and Roula Said. Through their diverse experiences and storytelling styles, the playwrights invite audiences to explore the complexity of Palestinian stories brought to life on stage.
Featuring actor Nada Abusaleh, the readings will be followed by a conversation facilitated by Yolanda M. Bonnell, exploring the playwrights' work and what it means to create theatre in this moment.
