FuturENG at TMU welcomes highly motivated and talented female students in Grades 9 and 12 to discover engineering at the university level. Funded by Hydro One through the WEMADEIT program, Actua and Mr. Rodney Yip, this event combines theory with practical experience in cutting-edge technologies.
Students participate in a series of workshops and hands-on activities that foster problem solving, analytical and communication skills. The event allows students to better understand life as an engineer, with a focus on the global and societal impacts of the profession. Students will also have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, engineering mentors and students across the Greater Toronto Area, building a network of like-minded women in STEM.
