Date
March 10, 2026
Time
3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET

This session is presented in collaboration with the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada, and will be delivered by a CPA member with expertise in personal finance and student-focused financial education.

This workshop will help you understand how income tax works - including why we pay taxes and where the money goes. You’ll learn about the special rules for students, including contribution limits, non-taxable income, and the difference between RRSPs and TFSAs. Understand how tax credits and deductions can help you reduce your tax bill or even increase your refund, and gain the knowledge you need to file your own tax return.

Presenter: Dwayne Richards, CPA, CMA

Target Audience: Undergraduate and graduate students, particularly those earning income via part-time jobs, internships and co-ops.
