The International Issues Discussion (IID) series at Toronto Metropolitan University will present its third talk of the Fall 2025 series: "Israel, Palestine, and the Changing Middle East".

Our guest will be Jon Allen, Canada's Ambassador to Israel (2006-2010) and Spain (2012-2016). In addition to postings abroad in Mexico City and New Delhi, he held the positions of Minister (Political Affairs) at the Canadian Embassy in Washington (2004-2006) and Assistant Deputy Minister, Americas (2010-2012). He is currently a Senior Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto and the Chair of Project Rozana Canada, a not for profit whose objective is to build bridges between Palestinians and Israelis via the health sector.

His talk will be held in-person on Wednesday, November 5th between 6:30 and 8:30 pm in ENG 103 (the Vari Engineering Building, 245 Church Street, Toronto). Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.
