Join us for an engaging panel discussion at the next Empowering Women in Academia session, presented in collaboration with HR Workplace Wellbeing Services, during TMU’s Wellbeing Week (October 20 - 24, 2025) under the theme “Building a Better Tomorrow”.
This session focuses on menopause and health equity, bringing together
- Dr. Natasha Rajah, Canada Research Chair in Sex, Gender, and Diversity in Brain Health, Memory, and Aging, Full Professor, Department of Psychology, FOA;
- Dr. April Khademi, Canada Research Chair in AI for Medical Imaging, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, FEAS;
- Juilett Saunders, Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Instructor, Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing, FCS.
Together, they will share insights from both research and lived experience as they explore the full menopause continuum - perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause - highlighting both challenges and possibilities for more inclusive care.
The conversation will address what we know, where the gaps remain and how rising public awareness is shifting the conversation around access to care, funding and equity. It’s a chance to connect, learn, and be part of a discussion that bridges research, advocacy and real-world impact.
Registration is required for this event. To reserve your spot for this session please register in advance by Monday, October 20, 2025.
