Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) confirms that Carly Clarke has accepted an assistant coaching role with the Toronto Tempo and will be stepping down as head coach of the TMU women’s basketball program.

In 14 seasons at TMU, Clarke built one of the premier programs in U SPORTS, finishing with an overall record of 286–150. Her tenure was highlighted by an undefeated 2021–22 season culminating in a national championship, along with three OUA titles and six U SPORTS Final 8 appearances.

Clarke’s impact extends beyond the university level, having also contributed to Canada’s Olympic women’s national team. Her move to the professional ranks reflects both her success as a coach and the continued growth of TMU Athletics.

Thank you, Coach Clarke, for your leadership and lasting impact on the program. TMU looks forward to cheering you on in this next chapter with the Toronto Tempo.
