Craig Jennex
Craig Jennex is a scholar of queer and feminist theory, LGBTQ2+ history and culture, and popular music. His current research project, entitled Liberation on the Dance Floor, analyzes histories of collective dance and popular music within lesbian and gay liberation movements in Canada and the United States in the late 20th century.
I am committed to interdisciplinary learning, queer and feminist methodologies, and collaborative knowledge production. My experience as a queer person, my background in accessible and social justice-oriented course development and design, and record of facilitating community-engaged knowledge creation deeply inform my research, teaching, and service endeavours at TMU. My research is animated by a personal investment in the political potential that exists at the intersection of activism, archival work, and scholarship.
