ComCult Spring Mixer & Research Festival – A Wonderful First!
On Friday, April 11, 2025, the ComCult community came together for our first-ever Spring Mixer & Research Festival, and we’re happy to say: it was a success!
Held in the DCC 7th Floor Interdisciplinary Student Commons, the event was well attended by both students and faculty, creating a warm, vibrant atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the ComCult program.
The afternoon featured a showcase of research posters and artistic displays, highlighting the incredible range of work being done by students across the program. Guests had the chance to explore projects, ask questions, and connect over shared interests in a relaxed, informal setting.
It was also a special occasion to celebrate our PhD candidates who recently completed their PhD Qualifying Examinations. This is an important milestone we were proud to mark together.
Beyond the displays, the event offered plenty of opportunities for mingling, conversation, and connection. With delicious snacks, music, and space for deeper chats, the Spring Mixer gave everyone a chance to unwind, share ideas, and enjoy the energy of the ComCult community.
We’re already looking forward to making this an annual tradition! It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, celebrate achievements, and welcome new faces into our growing community.
Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable evening!
