New gift

The Faculty of Community Services has received a generous donation of $250,000 from one of our alumni to support nursing students. This gift will go towards an existing endowed award, which provides financial assistance and recognizes academic achievement and a commitment to the field of nursing in undergraduate students at the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing. The alumna, a longtime and dedicated supporter of the Faculty of Community Services, was moved to direct her recent philanthropy in support of the nursing profession, following the events of the past year: "We all should be able to recognize the huge debt we owe to nurses and the need to help nursing students get through their studies."
