Event Objectives:

  • To define and conceptually clarify transnational healthcare practices and their relevance to migrant and refugee health care
  • To explore how transnational healthcare practices influence healthcare access and decision-making among Ukrainian older adult refugees in the Greater Toronto Area 
  • To examine the implications of transnational healthcare practices for nursing practice and healthcare policy in host countries
