Day of Pink

Time: 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Location: Beach, 6th floor of the SLC.
Who is invited: All of TMU are invited and encouraged to wear pink
Accessibility: This space is wheelchair accessible.
Day of Pink 2026 invites you to explore ECHO — a theme that calls us to tune in to the voices of queer and trans communities, past and present. These are the voices that dared to speak up, to love out loud, to resist, and to reshape the law. Their courage continues to echo through every right we hold, every story we tell, and every change still to come.
This year’s Day of Pink honours two anniversaries:
25 Years Since Little Sisters Bookstore v. Canada
25 Years Since the Modernization of the Benefits and Obligations Act
Special Guests:
Jeremy Dias: founder of dayofpink.org (external link)
Martin Boyce: A participant in the 1969 Stonewall Uprising.
Adrienne Rosen & Lamar Van Dyke: Two of the "Brunswick Four" activists whose 1974 protest in Toronto was a watershed moment for Canadian 2SLGBTQIA+ rights.
