TMU is so excited to announce The Black Flourishing Conference happening on April 5, and 6th. Black Flourishing is a two-day event designed to celebrate, empower and centre Black student success. The conference aims to address the unique needs and challenges faced by Black students and explore ways in which TMU can better support its students academically, emotionally, and socially in order to create an environment where we can feel seen, thrive and flourish. During the conference, students will be engaged through performances, speakers, giveaways, workshops and more, where they can learn valuable insights, be a part of inspiring conversations, foster connections and unapologetically be Black and proud.

The conference is filled with incredible speakers, performers and special guests, such as Amanda Parris, Reni the Resource, and headlined by Juno award-winning rapper TOBi. Day 1 of the conference includes a networking dinner for students, staff and faculty and day 2 features special faculty guests for a panel discussion on career pathways and taking up space. During lunch, there will be a headshot corner for folks who want to update their social media platforms. To close, Metis-Cree & Nigerian singer + drummer Fola will join us for our closing ceremony.
