Open Positions

We currently have openings for enthusiastic new members to join our group. Prospective students who have strong backgrounds in mechanical, chemical, or biomedical enginering, or physics, are all welcome to apply.

We are especially looking for highly motivated PhD and MASc students, who are interested in experimental microfluidics, to begin their research in the upcoming Winter 2024 or Fall 2024 terms.

PhD and MASc students

All of LoFFI's MASc and PhD students are fully funded via a combination of entrance scholarships and research grants. Teaching and grading assistantships are also available as additional support.

Students should also apply for admissions through Toronto Metropolitan University's Yeates School of Graduate Studies (opens in new window) . Canadian citizens and permanent residents seeking external funding are encouraged to contact Dr. Tsai to discuss application proposals for the NSERC Postgraduate (external link, opens in new window)  and Ontario Graduate (opens in new window)  scholarship programs.

Undergraduate students

We also welcome undergraduate students to email Dr. Tsai to discuss possible undergraduate research projects at the LoFFI.
