How You Can Help
There is a wealth of Iranian-Canadians who can act as a support. We are a group of students, staff, and faculty at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) who try to bring the Iranian-Canadian community, Iranian students/researchers, and the university together. TMU has provided solid support for Iranian students, which are communicated to current and prospective students through our website.
However, more help is needed, and any financial support can be instrumental to the success of Iranian students. With the help from the university, we are in the process of creating a fund for Iranian students/researchers called “Support Iranians“. To establish the fund, first, we need to hit the $5,000 donation mark. After that, a “Support Iranians” fund will be created. We will provide updates as soon as the fund has been established.
How To Donate
For now, and to hit the mark, you can follow the below steps provided by the university to direct your donation to “support Iranian students and researchers”.
Go to TMU’s Donation Portal, select “Direct My Gift to”, and then write in the designation “Support Iranian students and researchers”. You can make your donation anonymous as well.
You can send a cheque by Canada Post. Make it payable to “Toronto Metropolitan University” and mail it to “Attention: Sergio Chiodo, 350 Victoria Street, Toronto, ON M5B 2K3. You can make your donation anonymous by attaching instructions to your cheque. Please add instructions and direct your donation to “Support Iranian students and researchers”.
