The Life of Freshwater
Freshwater is vital to ecosystem and human health and is a life force itself. The study of water occurs in fields such as natural science, engineering, public health and policy, sociology, and the arts. Indigenous and Western perspectives on water will be explored in this course. Topics include the natural water cycle, impacts of human activities on water quantity and quality, modern approaches to water treatment, intersections of water and health, and different approaches to monitoring and assessing the health of freshwater.
