Spanish Graphic Novels
In this course, students will learn about the graphic novel genre as an artistic medium for studying the history, literature and cultures of Spain. Graphic novels have proven to be equally productive as a vehicle to re-examine difficult events in the recent history of the country, for example, the Spanish Civil War; immigration; gender inequality; economic crisis and even as a tool to connect with the classics of Spanish literature.
