Revitalizing Indigenous Law

This course considers the statutory and regulatory basis of authority for Indigenous governments in First Nation, self-governing, public and traditional contexts. Beyond this foundational understanding of the legal landscape, this course examines the revitalization of Indigenous law as it applies to social policy, diplomacy and negotiation, human rights and the rights of the land, and the intersection with Canadian common law in the courts.
