Drugs and Human Behaviour

This course introduces students to the social, psychological and biological factors involved in the use and effects of psychoactive drugs and drug-taking behaviour. The course examines addiction and pharmacotherapy for psychological disorders. Topics range from historical, social, and cultural aspects to neurobiological and pharmacological mechanisms and actions underlying drugs and drug use. This course is intended for students not majoring in Psychology.
