Art As Practice
This course introduces students to the rigour and demands of the public presentation of creative works. In this lecture course, students will reflect on their values and develop ideas. They will then be introduced to the project management cycle, from proposal to funding to project delivery. Issues regarding presentation contexts, professional identity, portfolios, timelines, contracts, and artist obligations will be discussed and incorporated into the flow of the term.
