Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Sport

This course examines how gender, race, and ethnicity shape the world of sport. Students explore historical and contemporary struggles for equality, representation, and inclusion, analyzing how these issues impact athletes, institutions, and the sports culture. Through case studies and discussions on topics like activism, systemic inequality, and media representation, students will gain a broader perspective on identity and social change in sport. Students will be equipped with the tools to critically assess and drive change within the sports world and beyond.
