Writing for Film
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of screenwriting, with an emphasis on discovering their unique voices and telling personal, authentic stories. Through short-format writing exercises, script analysis, and peer workshops, students will explore narrative structure, character development, and visual storytelling applied in the screenplay form. The course encourages experimentation and critical thinking about dramatic structure, dialogue, and subtext while refining each student's ability to craft compelling, emotionally resonant stories.
