Advanced Drone Operations and Analysis

This hands-on, project-based course focuses on the acquisition and analysis of advanced drone-based spatial data, including multispectral and LiDAR technologies. Students will apply field-based GPS surveying and mapping techniques, ground control and truthing, and advanced photogrammetric workflows. Key topics include drone surveying, digital elevation modeling, and object-oriented classification. Emphasis is placed on field techniques and applied analysis. The Basic Operations RPAS Pilot Certificate is recommended prior to enrollment.
