Contemporary French Literature
French literature is characterized by various types of experimentation with form, content and generic boundaries. This course traces its vibrant evolution over the past century by exploring major literary movements, themes, and authors. From avant-garde theatre to autofiction, students will engage with bold, genre-defying texts that reflect and challenge the historical and social contexts of modern French literary expression.
