Theories of Crime and Society

This course explores the theoretical relationship between crime and society. By examining crime through foundational social theories (such as Structural Functionalism, Symbolic Interactionism, and Feminism), students can consider how social structures influence and explain criminal behaviour. Building upon prior learnings from theoretical courses, this course adds to students' theoretical toolkits, expanding their understanding of crime and crime control.
