Introduction to Diversity and Equity
The course will examine different forms and representations of diversity and inequity, including gender, sexuality, class, race, ethnicity, ability, and age. It will explore the socio-historical and socio-political origins of these inequities, with a focus on the intersectional ways in which these factors interact. Critical examination of institutional practices, policies, and politics related to diversity and equity will be central to the course.
