Located in the heart of Toronto, the Chrysalis is the city's multidisciplinary incubator for performance. Your Visit
Chrysalis (formerly known as Ryerson Theatre) is located at 43 Gerrard Street East in Toronto. The venue is located on the campus of Toronto Metropolitan University. The nearest major intersection is Yonge Street & Gerrard Street.
Chrysalis is conveniently located near two TTC subway stations on Line 1.
From TMU (formerly Dundas) Station:
- Approximately 7-minute walk
- Arrive at Dundas Station either by Line 1 subway or 505 streetcar.
- Walk north from Dundas Station, on Yonge Street. Then turn right on Gerrard Street East until you arrive at Chrysalis.
From College Station:
- Approximately 6-minute walk
- Arrive at College Station either by Line 1 subway or 506 streetcar.
- Walk south from College Station, on Yonge Street. Then turn left on Gerrard Street East until you arrive at Chrysalis.
There are various paid parking garages nearby, as well as limited street parking.

Yes, there is a designated accessibility seating section on the Orchestra level for those with mobility devices and/or accessibility accommodations.
Please note, unfortunately our Balcony level is not wheelchair accessible. There is no elevator and the balcony is only accessible by stairs.

There is a single-stall, all-gender restroom in the lobby.
Please note, unfortunately this restroom does not have an ADA button to automatically open the door; but the inside of the washroom is wheelchair accessible.
No. There are no food or drinks allowed beyond the lobby, with the exception of bottled water.
