Minor in Occupational Health and Safety

The Minor in Occupational Health and Safety will equip students from a variety of academic backgrounds and disciplines with foundational knowledge about occupational health and safety, including how to protect workers from risks and hazards in the workplace. Students will be able to specialize their expertise in pathophysiology or law.

The course electives will allow students to gain more in-depth and specialized knowledge in specific and focused areas of occupational health and safety, such as toxicology, health and safety hazards, occupational hygiene, systems safety and control, ergonomics, risk assessment, disability management and sectoral applications and management.

To receive this Minor, students must complete six (6) courses from the following curriculum:

Required courses (1):

  • OHS 508 Occupational Health and Safety

Plus at least one (1) of the following:
