Canada is known as a water rich country, but is it? Through case studies and an introduction to the social, legal, ecological, economic and political issues that shape water stewardship and governance in Canada, students will examine why and how water is important to Canadians. Current water events will be examined from a critical perspective to encourage learning about Canadian waterscapes and a range of complex governance and policy challenges and alternative solutions.
