Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention

This course will explore the role of public and occupational health in understanding and preventing chronic disease and injury. The surveillance of chronic disease and injury, the burden of morbidity and mortality, and primary causal contributors will be discussed in context of evidence from Canadian and international sources. Unique challenges in the Canadian context will be covered, with a focus on prevention and approaches applied in the public health domain.
