Nation to Nation Relationship

This course explores intergovernmental relations in Canada through the lens of Indigenous governance. Students will analyze how federalism, treaties, and jurisdictional politics shape relationships between Indigenous, federal, and provincial governments. Themes include multi-level governance, historic and modern treaty implementation, and shared jurisdiction. The course culminates in a treaty negotiation simulation.
