Community Nursing

Students will use a social justice and equity lens and principles of primary health care to critically analyze current and emerging issues that affect community health across diverse communities and populations within local, national and global contexts. Students will explore and critique a range of theoretical approaches and frameworks for health promotion and disease prevention within the context of community health nursing. EDIA principles and community-nursing concepts with diverse and Indigenous populations will be examined.
