Healthcare Systems

This course will introduce students to the Canadian Healthcare System focusing on current healthcare delivery issues. EDIA and Indigenous healthcare will be explored to enhance student’s understanding of the factors that influence the nursing profession and the healthcare system. Students will advance their knowledge about the role of nursing in the context of effective intraprofessional and interprofessional teams. Students will engage in critical appraisal of systemic issues impacting the health of Canadians.
