Patho-therapeutics 1

The integration and application of core concepts of epidemiology, microbiology and pathology are explored. Principles of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and nutrition related to nursing practice will be examined. The focus of the course will be on prevalent and chronic illnesses (e.g., cancer, cardiopulmonary and diabetes). Current literature and research findings that inform evidence-based practice will be critiqued.
