Language and Identity
This writing-intensive course for students whose first language or mother tongue is not English explores how language use reflects social identities. Through academic readings, the course helps students improve their knowledge of written and spoken English and express themselves effectively in writing. Students will analyze different texts, discuss course topics using academic vocabulary, participate in discussion forums, and write essays.
