Sound for Film

This intermediate course focuses on the creative role and function of sound in audiovisual storytelling and audience engagement. Lectures will examine a diverse range of examples to illustrate how soundscapes emotionally impact narrative and subjectivity. The crafts of studio and field sound recording, editing, design techniques and mixing will be practiced in applied exercises that create immersive and engaging experiences with an emphasis on quality standards for audio production.
