Introduction to Cinematography
This lecture and lab course introduces students to core concepts, tools and applications of motion picture photography in the filmmaking process. The foundations of cinematography are explored through the analysis of key works and forms. Frame composition, lighting, exposure, camera movement and photochemical processes are explored through exercises with 16mm film.
