Visual Effects for Film
This course introduces students to contemporary visual effects (VFX) techniques in film, which enable filmmakers to create or manipulate moving images beyond live-action capture using computer-generated imagery (CGI). Key technologies and workflows central to the VFX process will be introduced. Guest professionals will be invited to give lectures and demonstrations, while field trips may be incorporated to enrich learning. These activities may necessitate the scheduling of class meetings outside normal hours.
