Foundations: Disability Studies Research
This course provides students with a basic understanding of social inquiry from the perspective of disability studies. Challenging the quantitative/qualitative binary, students explore questions about knowledge itself—specifically what “counts” as knowledge in academia and public life. Students will practice finding, organizing, and critically appraising disability studies research. This course will attend to the histories and presences of disability in research.
